2009 K2 Disorderly Ski Review

Up until recently, our twin tips were designed to make different arcs while skiing forward or switch, but the Disorderly challenges conventional twin tip design. This ski is built with a symmetrical sidecut allowing the ski to make a consistent turn regardless of direction. Combined with a center-only mounting position, this ski comes with a more balanced feel in the air, sliding rails, or riding transitions in the pipe regardless of direction. Its bi-directional construction and topsheet design allows you to mount the skis in either direction you want to. We've also added layers of carbon str

The Coomba features a tip shape and progressive sidecut that are predictable and forgiving in powder and variable snow. Serious alpinists and aspiring backcountry skiers alike will appreciate the Coomba's balanced flex pattern and 102mm waist width that provide excellent flotation and easy handling. A percentage of all Coomba ski sales will be donated to the Coombs family. K2 will also donate a portion of the proceeds to the American Mountain Guide Association's Chad Vanderham Endownment, which is focused on improving guide education and safety.

K2 Kung FuJas 2009 Ski review

Miss your chance at the old K2 Seth? Well, the Kung Fujas is about as close as you're going to get to that magic mid-fat twin-tip design. Pep Fujas' 2009 pro model ski is a tiny bit slimmer (95mm in the waist down from 98) but brings the same easy-flexing, torsionally stiff versatility that made the old Seth shine everywhere from big AK faces to tight trees and monster terrain parks. A nearly symmetrical sidecut makes going switch second nature without sacrificing forward stability, and a fully-wrapped solid fir core plows through crud like a brick through a window. So go ahead—pick up the Kung Fujas and pick a line.

K2 Extreme 2009 Ski Review

Nearly 20 years after it's original release, the K2 Extreme is reborn as a twin-tip ski with the same great performance and eye-catching style.

With high torsional strength and excellent durability, the Extreme withstands tough landings and high-speed descents on any terrain
Torsion Box design utilizes a Triaxial-braided wood core to create a high degree of rebound and performance
Fir core produces natural flex, allowing the ski to achieve full contact with the snow throughout the turn
Triaxial braiding wraps an interlocking fiberglass weave around the wood core, providing torsional stiffness, responsive turning and sensitivity

The folks at K2 are obsessed with skiing, but they don't have speech impediments. They named the K2 ObSETHed Alpine Ski for hard-charging big mountain skier Seth Morrison. This new installment in Seth's twin-tip pro model features a fatter 105mm waist, a progressive sidecut, and a short rocker design that adds both floatation in the deep fluffy stuff and versatility on the hardpack. The twin-tip design and unique taper angles help the ObSETHed go from forward to fakie with ease.
