Per Loken and Nate Sheehan arrive in New Zealand and meet with their fellow Rip Curl team members in Christchurch. The boys then board a plane and head to the country's highest elevated mountain - Mt Cook.

Conditions have cleared up for the Rip Curl snow team, so the boys are excited about their first taste of high mountain action in New Zealand this year. After an early wake-up by Rip Curl stallion Dan Warbrick, the team gears up and heads for the helipad to get a VIP ride up the hill to session a kicker jump they built specifically the day before.

After being forced to sit at base camp waiting for weather to improve, the boys awake to what looks like a pleasant day. There's more disappointment though, when they're told the helicopter can't fly. They find a solution, but nothing is easy...

The conditions are extreme and the Himalaya mountains are the boss when it comes to attempting a stunt like this. The Nepalese guides get worried about the team's safety and Mother Nature has her last say...

The team moves further up the hill & enjoys some high altitude play time (roughly 5300m above sea level). They are worried about the extreme wind conditions at the height they want to reach though, so wait patiently to see if Mother Nature will behave.

Rip Curl Pro Search Chile: Semi-Final 1 - Andy Irons def. Mick Fanning

Mick Fanning won the first ever Rip Curl Pro Search in Reunion Island in 2005 and Andy Irons took home the planet trophy from Mexico last year, so everyone was excited about this match-up in Semi-Final 1.
