In March 2005, three adventurers will embark on a spectacular journey that will be a true test of their stamina, perseverance, dedication, expertise, and resolve – all for the sake of a tremendous cause.

In ten days, this team will cover 1,900 miles. “Trek Morocco” will consist of many parts and will be executed by plane, train, bus, foot, mules, and skis.

The team will begin by crossing the Gibraltar Channel, destination: Tangier. Once in Tangier, the team will take a train to Casablanca, covering more than 200 miles on this leg alone. From Casablanca, the team will board a bus to Marrakesh. From where they will take a bus across the Marrakesh Express Highway – a highway that connects Casablanca to Marrakesh. From Marrakesh, their destination will be the small town of Imlil.

In Imlil, they will find themselves at the base of the Atlas Mountain, surrounded by desert. The team will then use camels and mules for the next segment of the trip. Mules will carry the team’s equipment across the desert to the Jebel Toubkal Valley. Jebel Toubkal is the highest mountain in Morocco (13,900 feet), and the team plans to climb it and then ski down and continue on to several other 13,000-foot mountains in the area. Following this, the team will conclude the adventure and return to Spain.
