Ross Rebagliati also got his gold medal back. I think that's pretty important in the snowboard world.

Oops, I should have written: Around 1988, the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) chose Timberline for their first meetings to examine and discuss how snowboarding instruction would be incorporated into the existing PSIA programs for skiing instruction. During that same spring, PSIA representatives attended a snowboarding instructors' clinic conducted by the snowboarding instructors at Timberline.

This is a very good history, but I noticed one small error. The video indicates that Stratton Ski Resort (Vermont) was the first ski area to offer snowboarding lessons (in 1986). This isn't exactly correct; Timberline Ski Area (Oregon) also began offering snowboarding instructions in 1986. In fact, Timberline was on the cutting edge of formal, structured snowboarding instruction through the late 1980s. Around 1988, the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) held their first meetings to examine and discuss how snowboarding instruction would be incorporated into the existing PSIA programs for skiing instruction.
