Wow on close inspection it looks like the light does come from behind. I will ask the photographer if it is real. I posted it but it was a photo that Michael sent me. I will find out and post what he tells me. My read is that the tsunami rangers to some crazed stuff that impressed this whitewater paddler but it sure looks like the light is false and the white around the paddle makes me think it was photoshoped. I will let you know.

Fake, 1.No one would go in between those rocks 2.If you zoom in you can see the pixel difference between the kayak and water.

Dakota, I have no doubt about people kayaking into surf that big...it's this particular picture I am wholly skeptical about. Look at the lighting of the kayakers and tell me if you think it matches the surrounding light...(how is there light coming from behind them lighting up their life jackets for instance?) I don't think so. Another way to look at it is if the tsunami rangers were to paddle out into huge surf why would they pick the most treacherous area (ie:between two huge rocks) to do so? I stick by my previous statement, photoshop craptacular!!

guys - believe it or not, that's totally real. The tsunami rangers regularly tackle surf as big as that in the photo. They are awesome!
