Vail Resorts hosted a community-wide celebration for two-time World Cup Overall champion Lindsey Vonn tonight at The Arrabelle at Vail Square, located at the base of the ski slopes where Vonn grew up skiing and racing.

Vonn was welcomed by Vail Valley community members; dignitaries including Vail Resorts CEO and chairman, Rob Katz, Town of Vail Mayor, Dick Cleveland; Olympic hopefuls and Ski & Snowboard Club Vail kids; former Olympians such as Tamara McKinney and Todd Brooker and the legendary voice of the Olympics, Bob Beattie.

Locals turned out to cheer on hometown girl, Lindsey Vonn, as she begins her "epic" road from Vail to Vancouver. The celebration came on the heels of a four-year sponsorship agreement announced this week with Vail Resorts.
