Shane McConkey passed away today, March 26th, 2009, while ski-base jumping in Italy. He was a hero to the sport and to skiers everywhere and the community has suffered a great loss.

I have uploaded this video (his segment from Matchstick Production's Push) in his honor. It is probably my favorite McConkey segment (though there are many).

We love you Shane and you will be missed.
