The X Games, the premier action sports event in the world, will be held July 30 through August 2, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

The X Games features athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the following sports: skateboarding, motocross, BMX and rally car racing. Practice and elimination for the events will be held July 28-39, 2009. X Games 15 will be covered live on ESPN's family of networks, including ABC, as well as across ESPN's many digital media assets including EXPN.com and ESPN360.com. The event has been held in Los Angeles for six years, and will remain in the city through at least 2009.

POPULARITY OF X GAMES

X Games 14 was ESPN's most-viewed X Games among households, men 18-49 and 25-54 as well as persons 18-49 and 25-54. In addition, ABC's X Games 14 was up double digits year-to-year among households  an increase of 14% overall from X Games 13. In a continued effort to expand the X Games franchise globally, the first five minutes of X Games 14 aired live simultaneously on ESPN in the U.S. and across 12 ESPN International networks around the globe reaching 125 countries. Action sports fans in Australia, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, India, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, South America, and the U.S. shared in the excitement as the world's leading action sports event kicked off its annual competition. EXPN.com saw more than 500,000 unique users to X Games content during the four-day event, and ESPN360.com compiled a total of 4,538 hours spent viewing X Games content.

moto tricks are really superb and X-games are really creating some more bigger platform for the action games.

the big air comp has kinda overshadowed the vert, which makes sense cuz its sick, but the vert comp was awesome this year i thought

ya, moto best trick was totally against what the x games normally stands for with the same trick winning two years in a row. Not the progression they normally strive for..
