We have also managed to secure access to The Te Awa Airstrip for our new pitting area, which is approximately 6 times the area we had available in 2007. We will also be using brand new, never before touched by the tread of an offroad tyre, forest tracks. Wide and fast, gnarly and testing…. All the components needed to ensure a thrilling, action packed Taupo 1000 race.

The return of 2007’s overseas competitors to our shores has been delighting to hear, as have the numerous other intentions and enquiries about entering from Aussie, USA, Dubai and The UK.
