Rip Curl New Zealand Team Rider Richard Christie has just landed himself on the latest cover of Australian surf magazine WAVES.

The 20-year-old Mahia local was captured on location in Samoa while shooting for Waves' 'Black Knight II' awards in which seven of Australasia's best young surfers are sent on three epic surf trips over five months in a search for the best free surfer.
