Quiksilver Natural Selection 2008, the most innovative snowboarding event of the year, and the brainchild of snowboarding superstar, Travis Rice.

Quiksilver and Travis Rice teamed up to make this inaugural competition possible. Hometown hero, and international snowboarding super star, Travis Rice, handpicked 17 riders from around the world to test their skill in an all-natural setting… and to ensure fresh, untracked snow the event extended over a seven day “holding period” to hold out for the best possible powder conditions.

The production was unparalleled in the realm of winter sports as a team of cameramen were commissioned to catch the full 2000 foot length of the Dick’s Ditch venue using the high-tech ‘Spydercam’ cable camera.

This one hour, action packed show captures the unique energy and environment of this dynamic event, and takes snowboarding out of the park and back into the mountains. Natural Selection leaves the course design to Mother Nature and lets the riders express themselves in an unpredictable measure of raw talent.
