Last year I went to Shanghai, China. I spent 20 bucks on a bike and decided to do Shanghai like the locals do it. Needless to say, I was one of the few white people braving the wild traffic and heavy air pollution to pedal with the locals. In return, I got to slow down the pace, notice details that would have just zoomed by. I went to places tourists rarely venture and took my camera with me and made a little edit of some of the shots I gathered. If you have the chance to travel, do yourself a favor and walk (or bike) off the beaten path, you'll experience what your destination is really about.
