Elan Magfire 82 Ti is a serious ski, not a model for ocasional recreational skiing or a tool which will introduce beginners to skiing. It is a ski that likes almost all snow surfaces that can be found on the slopes, which makes it a good choice for experienced adventurers. On hard packed snow it challenges the skier to go faster. If you choose appropriate size and favorable stiffness, this ski will prove safe and you'll feel secure with the wind in your face during wide turns. However, the ski's wide waist could pose you some problems and you'll need to put some extra effort into putting the Magfires onto their edges. It is thus recommended for potential buyers to opt for this model only in case the groomed slopes are just the shortest way to deep snow expanses. Those who plan to spend most of their time on groomed slopes should rather opt for this ski's younger sibling with a narrower waist - Magfire 78 Ti.
For Magfire 82, deep snow is a home ground. There, it will present you with its advantages, while you'll be cruising down the slope. Somewhat lighter than the last year's model, not too stiff and with a wide enough waist, this is a good choice for skiers looking for an all-mountain ski. This ski will simply flow through clusters of worn out snow. You'll only need to concentrate at the end of the day and as you ski through big bumps on the trail. Again, the narrower 78 Ti will in this case prove a better solution. Not to confuse things, this ski is easy to ski on for experienced skiers. It is however very forgiving, except that skiers have to adopt very quickly due to its wider waist.
