Lib Tech McKink 2009 snowboard review

Kink, Banana, Mag! This is the most visible, functional, snowboard...

Kink, Banana, Mag! This is the most visible, functional, snowboard specific tech on the planet. Matt Cummins has eighteen years of skate influenced board design experience. Originally designed by Matt back in the late 80's The idea for this shape was to develop a board that rides well in powder as well as being able to jib rocks, rails, logs, etc. Add 'Banana Tech' and 'Magne-Traction' to the 80's kink design..... mission accomplished!

Correct Sandwich Construction - sandwich over sandwich, this is the backbone of the mad-pop and compression energy often referred to as Top-Pop.
BANANA TECHNOLOGY: Because you are not going skiing. Banana Technology replaces camber with rocker “banana” between your feet. More control, more pop, catchfree. Banana Technology is better everywhere!
MAGNE-TRACTION: Replaces “two contact point” ski theory. Conventional skis and snowboards have two contact points. Our Magne-Traction boards have seven! Seven is more than two. With Magne-Traction, when your two outside contact points lose grip, you’ve still got five more to take over. You won’t fall as much. Rides like a skateboard. Control and turn initiation come from under your feet, not a foot and a half to either side of your feet. Better edge hold. Climbs icy pipes! Turns ice into powder!
MORNING WOOD CORE: Wood as stiff as a brand new day. Sweet innercores from our Woodshop. More pop!
TNT BASE MATERIAL: Fast and low maintenance dual layered fluoro base material. Wax it or maybe skip a day. Use Oneballjay snowboard wax.
POWER TRANSFER (PT) INTERNAL SIDEWALLS: The same futuristic power 90º pop technology from our world record setting skateboards and power transfer spines only this time we have placed it along the sidewall of your board to add board control to our sandwich construction. Stronger, more pop, and more control brought to you by our Woodshop!
DOUBLE SINTERED UHMW SIDEWALLS: A Lib Tech innovation. Twice as sintered as any other sidewall. Tough, handsome and light
KINK: Transition ease. A kinked tail is a tail curve derived from a kink. A smooth mellow entry floats over all obstacles, kink aggressivly changes tip angle allowing maximum height be reached quickly. This allows a shorter, lighter board with an equal tip height. Great for climbing walls or tech switch landings.
