This is the first ever Stand up Paddle surfing contest to be held. It is appropriately located at the home beach of competitive surfing, Makaha Beach on the west side of Oahu. The QuikSilverEdition KU IKAIKA The Wave size had to be at least 20 foot faces with sets even bigger and they got what they wanted. This concept of Big Wave Stand Up Paddle Surfing was conceive by the The Ambassador of Surfing himself Brian Keaulana. And what a contest it was. Epic Day!
