Kitesurfing is a new sport that uses large kites to pull the riders on boards across the water surface. Harnessing the power of the wind, the kitesurfer carefully controls the kite and board to sail across the water or jump high in the air. Kite surfing styles include waveriding, wake style, freestyle, jumping, cruising and speed. Kite surfing is restricted or banned in some areas as an out of control kite can be very dangerous.
